There are so many ways you could plan out a weekly meal with just sticking with 1 meal plan consistently like Taco Tuesdays or alternating every other week like a Wrap it Wednesday this week and Wing Night Wednesday the next week.

You can certainly change it up completely and do a protein based weekly plan that starts light and gets heavier towards the end of the week. Say, for example, a Meatless Monday, Fish Tuesday, then a Chicken Wednesday, Pork Thursday, Beef Friday, Lamb Saturday and finally a Meat Soup or Stir Fry to bring the protein back down in preparation for another repeat, where the first day starts with no protein.

Another example is having a Weekly Cuisine Plan. This could look something like a Mediterranean Monday, Taco Tuesday, Indian Wednesday, Portuguese Thursday, Chinese Friday, Middle Eastern Saturday, Italian Sunday. You get the idea. Pick your favorite cuisine and make it your weekly thing.

A weekly meal plan will save you money, because you will have a broader perspective on the groceries you need. It also allows you to buy in bulk ahead of time, since you know what you will be having. To further save money on your grocery bill. Try to meal plan in such a way that your ingredients are used across many meals. Don’t pick up an item that will expire before you can get through it all.

An example of this, is say sour cream, for taco Tuesday. If you are only using a small amount of sour cream for that one meal, it will go bad before you go through it all, which is waste, and it doesn’t freeze well either. So either eliminate it, or find other recipes that will use up the remaining sour cream. This does take time to see how well your weekly meal plan performs. But this is the other reason why a weekly meal plan is so good. Eventually you will see where you can save money. Further refining your weekly meal plan and maximizing your savings.

Sunday Meal Plan

Steak Sunday doesn’t have to be just a seared steak. You can have steak with different seasonings, sauces or slice the steak thin for Gyros, Cheesesteak Subs or Stir Fry’s.
