Air Fried Rotisserie Chicken Legs are Seasoned with JAH Rotisserie Seasoning and cooked standing up for 25 minutes at 400 F. Serve it up with some Coleslaw and Potatoes, or with the St Huberts Style Gravy or the Swiss Chalet Gravy for a Rotisserie Chicken & Sauce Platter.
Rotisserie Seasoned Chicken Legs
Use Chicken Drumsticks or Legs, seasoned with the desired amount of JAH Rotisserie Seasoning. Allow to rest until it comes close to room temperature, to fully absorb the seasoning before air frying the chicken. Optionally brush with oil before seasoning.
Air Fried Chicken Leg Seasoning
Other seasonings can be used just as easily and done the same way. Use anyone of the below or various other seasonings.
- BBQ Seasoning
- Greek Seasoning
- JAH Poly Seasoning
- Cajun or Creole Seasoning
- Tandoori Seasoning
- Taco Seasoning
Poultry Brine
This is optional, but a brine can add more flavor and tenderize the chicken. For Rotisserie-Style Chicken, I often brine the Chicken in JAH Poultry Brine for about 1 hour. The flavored gets sealed in by the Rotisserie Seasoning, creating a wonderfully tasty chicken throughout.
Air Frying Rotisserie Chicken Legs
Season the Chicken and set aside for 30 minutes – 1 hour to come to room temp and fully absorb the seasoning before cooking.
Air Fryers differ in air flow and cook times. Adjust accordingly and cook until an internal temp of 175 F or higher is reached for dark meat.
Standup Rotisserie Chicken
Stand the drumsticks up with the meatiest part down. This allows getting more drumsticks in there with the bone end knuckle closest to the heat source. This is because this part can be exposed closer to the heat in order to cook the tendons down better, and you don’t have to flip the chicken if standing them up.
Air Fried Rotisserie Chicken Sauce
The Rotisserie Seasoning is a seasoning used both in St Hubert & Swiss Chalet’s style of Chicken. Both restaurants use a BBQ/Rotisserie Seasoning and serve their chicken with gravy. St Hubert, over the Chicken and Swiss Chalet in a dipping bowl. We can do the same at home.
