This Deli Kaiser Sandwich is a trio of deli meats, deli chicken, beef bologna, and salami, with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and sliced cheese stacked on a buttered Kaiser roll with a special deli mayo that brings the whole sandwich together. You can go with any choice of three deli meats for these kaiser roll sandwiches, which may include deli-sliced turkey, ham, pepperoni, roast beef, Black Forest ham, or an Italian deli, or pizza trio deli meats of pepperoni, ham, and salami.
Kaiser Deli Sandwich Ingredients
Kaiser Rolls, Butter, Deli Meats (Chicken, Bologna, Salami), Cheese, Deli Mayo (Mayonnaise, Yellow Mustard, Pickle Juice, Green Onion, Sugar, Onion Powder, Garlic Powder, and White Pepper), Onion, Tomato, and Iceberg Lettuce.
You can exchange the deli meats for any other trio of deli meats.
Kaiser Rolls
Kaiser rolls make for really good deli-style sandwiches and burger buns too. For the Deli Kaiser Sandwich, slice the Kaiser rolls in half and butter them on both sides. While I usually just use the Kaiser rolls just like this, you can opt to toast the buns over medium heat until nicely toasted before assembling the sandwich.

Deli Meats
The deli meats used for this Deli Kaiser sandwich recipe are chicken, bologna, and salami. However, you can exchange or include various other deli meats, such as roast beef, ham, turkey breast, or the Trio cold cut packs and even some Italian deli meats.
Cheese
Use sliced cheddar or other kinds of preferred cheese, such as Monterey Jack, Swiss cheese, Havarti, jalapeño habanero, or Gouda. The packages that come already sliced are pretty expensive. So I just buy a 400g block of old Fort cheddar cheese and slice it thinly to stack on the sandwich; it works just as well.
Sandwich Vegetables
Lettuce, tomato slices, and thinly sliced onions make up the vegetables for practically any sandwich. Although you can also add dill pickles, banana peppers, cucumbers, and anything else your heart desires.

Deli Kaiser Sandwich Sides
Serve these wonderful Deli Kaiser sandwiches with a side of chips, potato salad, pasta salad, coleslaw, cold veggies and dip, fries, onion rings, KD (or mac & cheese), or a salad. You can also opt to use the Deli Kaiser Sandwich as a side itself, with various soups for a sandwich & soup combo.

Make-ahead Deli Kaiser Sandwiches
These, when made ahead of time, wrapped, and refrigerated, taste so much better because the lettuce softens and the flavors meld over time. Make these sandwiches up and place them into either a Ziploc bag or wrap them in waxed paper or tinfoil. Perfect for lunches or snacks and even dinner with a bowl of soup for a sandwich & soup combo.
