This Cheeseburger Pizza is made with an Overnight Pizza Dough. Hand Tossed & Sauced with a Quick Tomatoes sauce that delivers the perfect Cheeseburger Flavors. Topped with Beef, Bacon, Onions, Mozzarella Cheese blend, with a bit of Cheddar. For Pickle Lovers, add some Pickles to the Pizza to give that finishing touch.
Cheeseburger Pizza Ingredients
Overnight Pizza Dough, Quick Tomato Sauce (Oil, Water, Passata, Ketchup, Beef Bouillon, Basil, Onion Powder, Parsley, Sugar, Garlic Powder, Aleppo, Oregano, Savory, Sea salt, Black Pepper), Ground Beef, Bacon, Onions, Mozzarella, Cheddar Cheese.
Pizza Dough
Pizza Dough (either the Overnight Pizza Dough or the Classic Hand-Tossed Pizza Dough). Both of these will yield about, 1500g of Pizza Dough to portion out how you see fit. Both recipes will also show you how to prepare and hand toss the pizza for assembly.
The Pizza Dough needs to be started the day before, at about the same time you plan on cooking the pizzas the next day.
Cheeseburger Pizza Sauce
My go to is the Quick Tomato Sauce for the perfect flavors. However, you can opt for any pizza sauce with just a bit of Ketchup added. Not too much, just barely noticeable.
Quick Tomato Sauce
Quick Tomato Sauce is also used for the Cheeseburger oven sub. This sauce contains Beef Broth & Ketchup, which pairs so well for this type of Pizza.

Cheeseburger Pizza Toppings
The Cheeseburger Pizza always consists of Ground Beef, Onions, and Bacon with both Mozzarella & Cheddar Cheese. Add other ingredients such as Mushrooms, Dill Pickles, and diced Tomatoes if desired. Jalapeños can be added for a bit of heat.

Ground Beef
Cook Ground Beef in a pan with some Soy Sauce and/or Worcestershire, covered with a lid. Break it down while cooking into desired chunks. When halfway done, cook uncovered until just done. The Soy Sauce or Worcestershire will add more flavor to the ground. You don’t want too much, just a splash of either one.
Bacon
Chop or mince the Bacon to the desired size. Cook over medium heat until just crispy. Strain out the bacon grease and reserve for other recipes. A bit of Bacon Grease can also be used to brush the crust.
You could also chop these into 1-inch strips and fry or bake in the oven, like the Old Style Pizzerias.

Onions
Chop the Onions any way you prefer. Optionally use a combination of Onions, combining Yellow, White, Red Onions. Use Green Onions to Garnish if desired.
Cheeseburger Pizza Cheese
Use a high moisture Mozzarella Cheese designed for Pizzas mixed with Shredded Provolone Cheese, at a ratio of 3:1 Mozzarella to Provolone. This offers up more flavor and better melting. To this add a small amount of Shredded Cheddar Cheese.
Use a food processor to quickly shred the Mozza Cheese and empty into a freezer bag. Do the same for the Provolone and place into a separate freezer bag. In a third freezer bag, combine 3 C Mozza Cheese and 1 C of Provolone Cheese and mix well. Place all three bags into the freezer.
Everything Bagel Crusted Pizza
To get Extra Fancy, brush the entire Pizza Dough with Garlic Sauce or Aioli or Just the Crust with a Bagel Wash. Then Season it with Everything Bagel Seasoning.

Bagel Wash
The Bagel Wash is made up of baked baking soda & water that is brushed onto the dough before cooking and is optional.
To make the baked baking soda, place 1 Cup of baking Soda on a baking sheet and bake for 1 hour at 250 F. This causes a chemical reaction that makes the baking soda highly alkaline.
Careful handling this. The highly alkaline powder can cause irritation.
Use 1 tsp of baked Baking Soda with 2-4 tsp of Water, depending on how dark you want the product. The amount of heat and the duration affect browning as well. Since Pizza cooks up much faster than other items, a stronger solution is desired to achieve good browning.

This is a pizza cook method I created in order to get the best possible outcome for homemade pizzas using an oven, and it’s very effective.
