Banana Milk Shake, what a classic drink. I have made this the same as always since I was a kid. It’s quite simple and very good. Only consisting of a few ingredients.
Banana Milk Shake Test
If you can’t stand the Straw straight up, your milkshake is too runny.
Bananas
Using Fresh Bananas is the typical way, and it’s how everyone does it. However, you can get a much stronger banana flavor using frozen bananas or adding in Banana extract. Now, handling frozen bananas is kind of gross once it thaws out, but it is so loaded with Banana Flavor. I use Frozen Bananas for my Banana Bread and man is it good. It just adds something.

Ice Cream
Vanilla Ice cream is the norm here. Not to say you couldn’t use others like Butter Pecan, Cookies and Cream, Strawberry Ice Cream. But for this recipe, we are using a unique fourth ingredient, so we will stick with Vanilla Ice Cream.

Milk or Cream
The cream is preferred, but you can use milk as well. You’ll get a thinner consistency so up the Ice Cream. Optionally, you can use Coconut Milk or Almond Milk.
Special Ingredient
This is what makes it. Just a small splash to offer some extra flavor. Grenadine Syrup. Absolutely Fantastic in Banana Milk Shakes.

Ice Cubes in your Banana Milk Shake
Throw a couple of Ice Cubes in the Blender along with the other ingredients. This will assist in keeping your Shake Cold for a longer time. It also helps to always keep an empty Glass in the freezer just for milkshakes.
Top off with some whipped cream and serve by itself or with some cookies.
