A Canned Ham Sandwich sometimes just hits the spot and can be prepared fairly quickly. There are a couple of ways to make this as well.
This is one of the sandwiches that I make when creating a Sandwich Platter. Along with Egg Salad and Chicken or Turkey Sandwich.
Canned Ham
This recipe makes two sandwiches from one Canned Ham. Drain the juices out and combine it with the Sauce. Mince it up and spread on Buttered Bread.
Canned Ham Sandwich Sauce
For the Sauce, we always use Mayo & Mustard with JAH Poly Seasoning. But sometimes go for the recipe below depending on the mood. Some other options/ingredients to include might be Onion, Garlic, Sriracha, Dill Pickle Juice, Horseradish, Worcestershire, Eggs, or Black Salt for Egg Flavor without the Egg, Lettuce, Spinach, Bacon.
Either way, you like your Canned Ham Sandwich. It sometimes just hits the spot quite nicely and is an excellent sandwich to join the Sandwich Platter.
Ham Sandwich Filling
- 1 can Ham – juice drained
- 2 Tbl Mayo
- 1 tsp Yellow Mustard
- 1 tsp Sweet Relish
- 1 stalk Green Onions
- 1/4 tsp Aleppo Pepper
- 1/8 tsp Celery Salt, Black Pepper
- 1 tsp or more of Celery Chopped Fine – optional
Double Decker Ham & Egg Sandwich
You can also Double Decker this sandwich with an Egg Salad Sandwich. Just make an Egg Salad Sandwich as you normally would and on the top bread spread the Ham and top with another slice of bread or combine both the Ham and Egg Salad into a single Sandwich.
