STANDARD BURGER INFORMATION
Check out my post on How to Make Burgers. Which discusses how to make the Burger Patties, their Sizes, How to cook, and the Seasonings for Burger Patties. Other topics include Toasting the Buns and Wrapping the Burgers, as well as freezing the Patties.
It’s an informative post outlining the various components that come together to create your burger. The Toppings & Sauces are up to you.
Smokey Burger Toppings
- Standard American Cheese Slice on the Quarter Pound Burger Patty.
- A Tomato Sliced Thin
- Sliced Onion Rings
- Shredded or Torn Lettuce rinsed.
Additional Toppings may include different types of Cheeses, Bacon, Mushrooms, Dill Pickles, Relish, Crispy Fried Onions, or Red Onions.
Smokey Burger Sauce
The Smokey Mayo Sauce is Mayonnaise with HP Sauce and a few drops of Liquid smoke to give that Smoke Flavor throughout the Sauce. This is sauced on the Crown. Add more Liquid Smoke or HP Sauce, depending on taste.
Smokey Burger Sauce
- 2 Tbl Hellmann’s Mayo
- 1 tsp Hp Sauce
- 1/8 tsp Liquid Smoke
Smokey Burger Baste
Optionally brush on JAH Meat Oil unto the Burger Patties before cooking. This adds additional Smoke Flavor cooked into the Meat.
Not tested yet however I am going to get my hands on some Charcoal Oil and add this to the Meat Oil to get Both Charcoal and Smoked Flavor on the meat.
Cooking the Burgers
I usually just sear these and cook stove top in a skillet over medium heat. However, there are other cook methods that work just as well depending on the desired outcome that is outlined in How to Make Burgers.
For this particular recipe, I used the Panini Cook method. Where the Quarter Pound Patties are cooked for about 3–4 minutes or until the juices run clear.
Smokin Smokey Burgers
Absolutely the best way to cook burgers, hands down. Burger Patties done in the Smoker is my Favorite way to enjoy Nice & Juicy Smoked Burgers that really contributes to the overall burger.
If you never had a smoked burger, you have no idea what you are missing out on. You think Charcoal-grilled is good, wait till you bite into a smoked burger.
Place into a smoker at 225 F anywhere from 1 to 2 hours, depending on thickness, optionally Sear before serving. Smoke until an internal temp of 160 F. Juices should run clear.
Smokey Burger with Red Relish
A Smokey Burger with Red Relish added.
Red Relish
Add some Red Relish, or use Red relish in place of Ketchup.
