Standard Burger Information
Check out my post on How to Make Burgers. Which discusses how to make the Burger Patties, their Sizes, How to cook, and the Seasonings for Burger Patties. Other topics include Toasting the Buns and Wrapping the Burgers, as well as freezing the Patties.
It’s an informative post outlining the various components that come together to create your burger. The Toppings & Sauces are up to you.
Burger Patty
Use a Quarter Pound Burger Patty and press flat to fill out the bread.
Use the standard Salt & Pepper Seasoning to season the Burgers. Sometimes I like to use Montreal Steak Seasoning. Which works really well with this recipe.
Burger Mixin
Use for each 1 lb. of very cold Ground Beef and toss. Then Shape into Patties.
- 1 tsp Beef Powder
- 1/2 tsp MSG
- 1/4 tsp Baking Powder
Burger Seasoning
Season your burgers with this Salt & Pepper Blend.
- 1 Tbl Sea Salt
- 1 tsp Black Pepper
- 1/2 tsp White Pepper
Bread
Butter both slices of Bread. You can also lightly toast the Bread and then butter, whichever you prefer. These can also be served on a single slice of bread. The traditional way is on two slices and topped with more Gravy and additional toppings. Even just your standard hamburger buns can be used. With gravy, ladled over the patty and over top the crown.
Hot Hamburger Gravy
This is where the Hot Burger can take on different flavors simply by the type of Gravy used. Ladle the Gravy over the Hamburger patty, with more Gravy on the top slice of bread. Add additional toppings. Included are a few Gravy options for the Hot Hamburger below.
Hot Hamburger Toppings
I usually just serve this up with no toppings, but on occasions also include Sautéed Mushrooms, Sliced Onion, and Green Peas, sometimes with a Mozzarella Cheese Slice. Additional items to include can be Bacon and frozen vegetables, or just about anything else that you eat with a burger.
