Honey Garlic Chicken Quarters, Thighs, or Legs made with a Quick Honey Garlic Sauce. The Chicken is Oven Fried, but without any Oil, although you could if you wanted too for even crispier Chicken. Then a Quick Honey Garlic Sauce is made right on the spot and emptied over the Chicken before going back into the oven with the heat off to rest for 20 minutes, all while soaking that sauce up. The results are crispy Chicken pieces saturated with Honey Garlic Sauce and more of that sauce drizzled on top when serving. Serve this up with some Steamed White Rice or Chicken Fried Rice and scoop some of that Sauce with a spoonful of Rice for a Delicious Sweet Meal.
Chicken Quarters
This recipe makes use of whole or separated Chicken Quarters. Clean out and trim the Chicken pieces.
If the Chicken Quarter contains the backbone, make sure you clean out the internal organs.
Honey Garlic Sauce
The Honey Garlic Sauce used for this recipe is the Quick Honey Garlic Sauce. Just throw everything into a sauce pot, mix well and bring it to a boil, shut the heat off and set aside to go over the chicken when ready. Make this Honey Garlic Sauce right on the spot while the Chicken is oven frying.

Quick Honey Garlic Sauce
- 1 C Sugar
- 1/2 C Water
- 2 Tbl Soy Sauce & Ketchup
- 2 Garlic Cloves minced
- 1 tsp Molasses & Rice Vinegar
- 1/2 tsp Sea Salt
- 1/8 tsp Ginger
Oven Frying Chicken
This method for this particular recipe or any recipe where a thin sauce will be applied to Chicken is superior to any other cook method. It results in crispy Chicken that is a bit dry on the exterior that makes it possible to soak in the sauce applied.
You cook the Chicken in a thick bottom roasting pan in the middle rack position at 425F. While Oven frying, involves coating the bottom of the pan with Oil, that in turn will fry up the Chicken. This particular recipe doesn’t use any oil besides basting the Chicken in order to promote crisping. Although you could add Oil to the pan, and oven fry just the same for crispier chicken. It’s crisping up the Chicken and then applying a thin sauce for it to saturate the chicken, that creates the best outcome, simply superb!
