This recipe makes a Wonderful Pot of Golden Corn! Boasting a Beautiful Golden Color and Buttery Taste for an excellent side. It’s super quick & easy too! Just toss all the ingredients together and simmer for 2–3 minutes. If making a home cooked meal using the oven, then the pot can just sit on the back burner where the oven vent is until ready to serve. Either way, it’s a very quick dish and excellent side. You can do the same for Buttery Waxed Beans, or Frozen Mixed Vegetables.
Pot of Gold Corn Ingredients
Corn Kernels (Either Frozen Corn or Canned Corn), Cream, Butter, Water, Sugar, Butter Popcorn Seasoning, Black or White Pepper.
Frozen Corn
Frozen Corn is the go to since you can add as much as needed, using about 1/2 C per serving. Some people will rinse the corn to thaw it quick and remove any ice. I don’t really do this, opting to just toss everything into the pot. It will thaw and cook right there in the pot.

Canned Corn
Canned Corn with or without the juices can be used just the same. Using about 2 Cups worth, so depending on the size of the can you may need 2 cans. Optionally strain the juices out to save it for other recipes like Corn Bread, Tortillas, Corn Chowder, Soups, Stews, or Karo Syrup.

Golden Corn
The butter popcorn seasoning adds such incredible buttery flavors and colors the liquids a golden color. Check out the Butter Popcorn Seasoning Post, which talks about its uses and where it can be used. With Corn, it does such a phenomenal job at upping the butter flavors. I even made a Corn Butter recipe to use for Corn on the Cob, and it’s from this, that this recipes comes about.
