Equipment
1 Master Class 2 Tier Steamer or use a microwave to soften the buns and a pan to cook the hot dogs
Preheat the oven to 400–450 F with the rack in middle position.Steam the Hot Dog Buns with a small amount of water in the pan and over max heat. Just a few seconds until softened but not wrinkly. Optionally, place them in the microwave for 20–30 seconds to soften. Transfer the buns with tongs to a tray to await the Hot Dogs or Sausages.Optionally add sliced cheddar cheese in the buns before placing the hot dogs in, or add shredded cheese before or after the sloppys.
Empty the water out and add a bit of fat. Place over medium heat and cook the Hot Dogs until done to your liking. Move them around, so all sides cook up. Transfer them to the hot dog buns. For Sausages, cook according to package instruction.
Heat the desired amount of Sloppys in the hot pan. Add more water if needed to keep it saucy, and ladle over each Hot Dog.
Place into oven for about 5 minutes, or until toasted to your liking. Optionally drizzle Ketchup & Mustard on before serving.
