Hot Dogs on a Buttered and Steamed, then Toasted Hot Dog Bun. Topped with the small Diced Onions & Dill Pickles, optionally Cheese, then Sauced with Ketchup & Mustard for a Steamie and Toastie McDonald's Style Hot Dog.

Ingredients
4Hot Dogs - Beef or use Chicken or Pork
4ButteredHot Dog Buns
1smallOnion - Small Diced or use rehydrated Onion Flakes
Preheat the oven to 450 F. Place the hot dogs in a pan with a bit of water to boil them over Max Heat.While the Hot Dogs are boiling, place a steamer basket on top of the pan and steam the buttered Hot Dog Buns, for a few seconds each side. Using tongs, place them into a casserole dish.
When all the buns are done steaming. Drain the water out, drop the heat to medium and pan fry the Hot Dogs in a small amount of Fat or JAH Meat Oil until crisp to your liking.
Slice the cheese into four strips and use 2 strips per hot dog bun, if using. Place the Hot Dog in the bun, Season with Salt & Pepper. Top with Diced Onions & Pickles.
Bake in the oven for 5 minutes. Optionally Broil the Top afterward if more toasting is desired. Sauce with Ketchup & Mustard.
Notes
If using Ground Beef Hot Dogs, then just cook them until done. Skipping the Boiling and Frying of the Hot Dogs. Everything else is the same.Add Bacon for a Bacon Cheese McDog or Big Mac Sauce for a Big McDog!
