An Excellent and Tasty Urfa Rice Recipe just by itself or used within a platter dish as in Middle Eastern Meatball Platter. This Rice Dish can also be served with other meats, with or without a White Sauce that goes on top. This can be Tzatziki Sauce or a Seasoned Yogurt & Sour Cream Based Sauce.

Ingredients
1 1/2CBasmati Rice - Rinsed
3CChicken Broth
2TblOrzo
2TblBarley
2TblButter
1 Onion - Sliced
2clovesGarlic - Minced
1TblBeef Suet - or Oil
1tspSea Salt & Marjoram - each
1tspUrfa Pepper - add more if desired
1/2tspTurmeric & Coriander - each
1/4tspAllspice & ground Cumin - each
Instructions
Wash Rice well and strain all water out and place into Rice Maker.
Melt the Beef Suet or Oil with Butter and Fry Orzo until color change takes place. Add Onions & Garlic and cook for a few seconds. Add to the Rice Maker.
Add remaining Ingredients and mix well. Cook on basic White Rice setting. Fluff and serve.
