Buttered ovensub buns layered with black forest ham, deli chicken or turkey, bacon, and Swiss cheese. Oven toasted, and then a good slather of the Canadian Honey Dill sauce on the top bun. Topped with thinly sliced onions, crisp lettuce, and tomatoes for veggies for a pleasantly remarkable Honey Dill Ovensub. This recipe will yield 3-foot-long or stretched out with 6 x 6-inch ovensubs and various sides like chips, fries, or salads.
Preparation: Place bacon on a baking sheet and into the oven set to 400°F with the rack in the middle position. Cook for about 13-15 minutes or until crisp. Drain out the grease and save for other recipes. Keep the oven on for the ovensubs. Meanwhile, wash and prepare all the vegetables and make the honey dill sauce by combining all the ingredients together and mixing well.
