Instructions
Prepare All the Vegetables and place into a bowl. Prepare your choice of Filler (potatoes, short pasta or Rice) and set aside in a separate bowl.Combine Soup Base Ingredients into another bowl.
On Medium High Heat in a Stock Pot, Brown Ground Beef. Don't break it down too much, leave it in large chunks to cook.
Once browned, add Vegetables. Not Potatoes if using, this is your filler. Mix and cook for about 3- 5 minutes.
Add flour and mix. Add Broth Mixture, Mix and Bring to Boil, scraping the bottom of the pan to lift the fond. Keep at a good Simmer for about 8 minutes, uncovered and stirring often.
Bring the Soup to a hard boil over max heat and add in diced potatoes to the Boiling Soup. Reduce the heat and simmer for 8 minutes, stirring often, cover, and remove from heat. Let sit for 20 minutes.Or use your choice of another filler and cook accordingly. - See Notes.

Choice of Filler
The Filler is added once the hamburger soup has simmered to soften the vegetables and is returned to a hard boil over max heat before the filler goes in.Pasta: Add 100 g or 1 Cup of Short Pasta, Mix, Cover, and remove from heat. Let sit for 20 minutes.Potatoes: Add 2 medium diced potatoes to the Boiling Soup, simmer for about 8 - 10 minutes stirring often, cover, and remove from heat. Let sit for 20 minutes.Rice: Add 1 Cup of Rice to the Boiling Soup, simmer for about 8–10 minutes stirring often, cover, and remove from heat. Let sit for 20 minutes.
Soup Consistency
For Hamburger Stew, use an additional 1/4 C of Flour or more. You can always thin out with Broth if you find it too thick.
