Ingredients
1Sesame Hamburger Bun
1Quarter Pound Burger Patty - About 1/2 inch thick and at least 5 inches in diameter
ToTasteHamburger Seasoning - See notes
1 1/2TblMayonnaise - 21 g
1TblKetchup - 14 g
1handfulTorn Lettuce - 21 g
2slicesTomato - Thinly Sliced
3slicesOnion Ring - Thinly Sliced
4slicesPickles - Thinly Sliced
1SliceCheddar Cheese - optional
Instructions
Prepare the Hamburger Seasoning & Toppings. Meat Oil if using to brush the Patty with. Make sure you have the Burger Patties already made up and frozen.
Butter & Toast the Bun in a Skillet over medium heat. Then Sear & Season the Burger Patty about 2–3 minutes per side, until juices run clear. Optionally cook in a double press Grill. The Patty can also be brushed with Meat Oil and then seasoned and cooked in a double-sided grill for about 3 minutes or until juices run clear.
Assemble the Whopper starting with the Crown1 1/2 Tbl MayonnaiseHandful of torn Lettuce2 Tomato Slices3 Onion Slices1 Tbl Ketchup4 Sliced Pickles1 Cheese slice - optional1 Seasoned Burger PattyHeelServe or Wrap in waxed paper to serve later.
Notes
Hamburger Seasoning
Combine the below and used to season the Burger Patties.
1 Tbl Sea Salt
1 tsp Black Pepper
1/2 tsp White Pepper
Meat Oil
To get a slight Smokey flavor on the Burger Patties themselves. Combine the below for a Meat Oil that can be brushed on the Patties and then seasoned before cooking.
1/4 C Neutral Oil
3/4 tsp Worcestershire Sauce & Soy Sauce
1/8 tsp Liquid Smoke & MSG
