This Shake and Bake Seasoning will have you gnawing at the bone. With its delicious flavors and trademark yellow juices coming from the turmeric added. Prepare it the same way as Shake n Bake.Use it without the Flour to season various Meats. Exchange the Flour for a Keto or Gluten Free Shake and Bake Coating.

1 Brush to coat the Chicken with drippings halfway through cooking
Ingredients
4Chicken Quarters - Separated (thighs & legs) or 8 pieces
Shake & Bake Coating
2TblFlour - See Notes for Keto & Gluten Free versions
1TblSea Salt & Savory - each
1tspThyme, Dill Weed, Oregano, Ginger, Garlic, Paprika, and Cumin - each
1/2tspTurmeric - this can be dropped to 1/4 tsp
1/4tspBlack Pepper - or more
1/8tspCayenne Pepper - or more
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375 F with the rack in middle position. Clean and trim the Chicken Quarters and separate the Thigh from the Leg.
Combine all the Shake and Bake ingredients together in a bowl or bag.
Add Chicken Thighs first to coat and then legs. One piece at a time. Shake off any excess and transfer to a tray, presentation side up. Optionally lined with foil for easier cleanup.
Bake for 25 minutes. Then use the drippings in the pan to brush any dry spots on the Chicken or use Oil. Place back into the oven for another 20 minutes.
After 45 minutes, shut the oven heat off but leave the chicken in the oven for 15–20 minutes before serving.
Notes
This will be just enough to do 8 pieces (4 thighs & 4 legs), depending on size. Discard any leftover coating after use. Include the Flour for Chicken, exclude for seasoning other various meats.
Keto Shake and Bake
Exchange the All Purpose Flour with Lupin Flour or other Keto Flours.
Gluten Free Shake and Bake
Exchange the All Purpose Flour with Corn Flour or Cornstarch. The Keto version is also gluten-free with the use of Lupin Flour.
Baked Herb Chicken
Omit the Flour and use Kosher Salt. Sprinkle over the Chicken to season and Bake.
Spicy Shake and Bake Chicken
Make it spicier by upping the Black Pepper or Cayenne!
