4SlicesBread - with mayo spread on
AsNeededMayo - for brushing the outside of the bread
2 Hamburger Patties - Quarter Pound each, Frozen
2SlicesCheese - American or Velveeta
1/2TblOnion Flakes - along with 1 Tbl of water to rehydrate
12SlicesDill Pickles
5DollopsHeinz Chili Sauce - or Ketchup
3DollopsMustard
Hamburger Seasoning
1TblSea Salt
1tspBlack Pepper
1/2tspWhite Pepper
Instructions
Combine 1/2 Tbl of Onion Flakes with 1 Tbl of Water into a small bowl and let it rehydrate. Place the sliced Dill Pickles into a small bowl and get your cheese slices out.Combine the Hamburger Seasoning in a bowl and set aside. Spread Mayo on 2 slices of Bread and stack them on top of each other so that the mayo sides are in contact with each other.
With a Skillet heated up over medium heat for about 3 minutes. Place the Hamburger Patties in to sear for about 3 minutes, each side. Flip them over, season with Hamburger Seasoning, and sear the other side. Flip over again just to season the other side and remove them. Deglaze the pan with water and clean it out, place it back on the burner over medium heat.
Assemble the Grilled Cheeseburger SandwichOne Slice with Mayo side down in contact with the panCheese SliceBurger PattyHeinz Chili Sauce & MustardSliced Dill Pickles - 6 per sandwichOnions - with the Water squeezed outTop Bread slice, mayo side up, to come into contact with the pan when flipped.Grill for 1–2 minutes per side or until golden crisp and serve.
Notes
To make the burger Patties, combine 1 lb. of Cold Ground Beef with the below.
1 tsp Beef Powder
1/2 tsp MSG
1/4 tsp Baking Powder
Toss the meat around, mixing lightly, and shape into Quarter Pound Patties. Place on a baking sheet. Flatten them out if needed so that they are slightly larger than the bread. Then freeze the Burger Patties.
