This copycat Red Marvel came about after trying Chicken Plus Red Marvel Boneless Chicken Wings. I did a review on them, see Chicken Plus. This is an incredibly spicy dish and so addictive. You bounce back and forth between taking a few bites and then, oh that's enough. Before you know it, the heat wears off, and you’re looking for it to come back. While I do believe this is an incredibly close recipe. The heat is tone down much more, and that may be good for those who find the Red Marvel Boneless Chicken Wings too spicy.
Yangnyeom Sauce: Prepare, cook and set aside the Yangnyeom or Red Marvel Sauce until ready to sauce the wings.
Boneless Chicken Wings: Prepare, Marinate, bread and cook the Boneless Chicken Wings.
Saucing: Place half of the Boneless Chicken Wings into a stainless steel bowl with the yangnyeom sauce and toss to get good coverage. Repeat for the second batch. You can do them all at once, but will take more mixing to get the saturated.
Notes
This dish can also be made with Breaded Bone in Chicken Wings.Heat Level: Adjust the heat in the sauce by adding more or less Chili Oil or even including minced Red Hot Chilies. Serving Size: A serving of just the Boneless Chicken Wings is about 15 pieces, or 10–12 pieces for Breaded Bone in Wings. If serving with a side, a serving for Boneless Chicken Wings is 7-8 pieces and Bone in Breaded Wings at about half the amount as well.
