For Peptic Ulcers

Peptic ulcers are sores that develop in the lining of the stomach, lower esophagus, or small intestine. They’re usually formed as a result of inflammation caused by the bacteria H. pylori, as well as from erosion from stomach acids. Peptic ulcers are a fairly common health problem.

A Study found that Cabbage Contains an antipeptic ulcer factor. This factor (vitamin U) prevents the development of histamine-induced peptic ulcers in guinea pigs.

For human trials it was found that.

The average crater healing time for seven of these patients who had duodenal ulcers was only 10.4 days, while the average time as reported in the literature, in 62 patients treated by standard therapy, was 37 days.

It does indeed work very effectively for Peptic Ulcers and Gastritis. This is why it has been around for so many years.

Gastritis is inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It may occur as a short episode or it may have a long duration. There may be no symptoms. But when symptoms are present, the most common is upper abdominal pain. Other possible symptoms include nausea and vomiting, bloating, loss of appetite, and heartburn.

From the description of the Two (Peptic Ulcers and Gastritis), you can see that usually, these go hand in hand if left untreated.

The most common causes of peptic ulcers are infection with the bacterium Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) and long-term use of aspirin and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) (Advil, Aleve, others). Stress and spicy foods do not cause peptic ulcers. However, they can make your symptoms worse.

It is my understanding that almost everyone has H. Pylori. It is only when the Balance goes off that people tend to see issues arise. One Factor is associated with Antibiotics over usage as this disturbs the balance of gut Flora in the Stomach.
